“Closing time, every new beginning
Comes from some other beginning’s end.”

—————————————————-

AT LAST IT CAN BE REVEALED! After 10 years, 18 storylines and 496 pages, The Hero Business will be closing its doors. What? Wait! But hold on, there’s more!

I started the series after a bolt of inspiration, and it became my first entry in the comics industry. Initially, it started as a hobby of sorts, with webcomics paving an easy way to get your work out there.

But something funny happened on the way to the super-powered cubicle: The Hero Business started opening doors to some unforeseen career opportunities. The animated-style art that grew from the comic started to capture attention. And with that, a bunch of fun assignments and opportunities came my way.

So as I was plotting out the third book, the characters started to whisper to me (it’s a real thing that happens with creators). And it seemed like it was time to close out their stories in a way that honors everything that came before it.

Plus, trilogies are a big thing in marketing. So what better way to close out a comic about a bunch of madcap marketing people?

So this week, it’s the beginning of the end! The final reports are in, and you’re invited to raise a coffee mug for the ultimate corporate endgame! It’s my love letter to these characters (that I will miss tremendously) so I hope you will be along for the final shift! The Kickstarter begins September 21st and you can sign up here to be notified!

And although the Hero Biz is closing up shop, I’m still in business! The last two Hero Business stories will be posted here. And also, I’ve got a couple of creator-owner things that have been in the planning stages for a while now. Plus a few unannounced projects I hope I can announce sooner than later.

Yes, it’s closing time. But every new beginning comes from some other beginning’s end.
