The Current Storyline
When a bad day gets even worse…. thanks for nuthin’, time travel!
Hey! I can’t read the years on the 1990s box! ;p
1996-1999. Burning questions!
Oh boy, this is gonna be awkward. “You’ve done WHAT for the last 15 years?!” In fact, this could make young Malefactor so despondent about his future failings, he’ll go back in time and… become a failure! Time travel logic makes my brain hurt.
Stable time loop. Malefactor is a failure in the future. Young Malefactor meets Old, finds out he’s a failure, goes back, and becomes the failure he believes he’s destined to be.
If he doesn’t everybody dies.
But theoraticly IF he became succsessful why would everyone die? I think he’d just enslave all everyone and everything everywhere or something…
I love all the small details in this. Malefactor’s bunny slippers, the dart board, the other calendar stuff.
What’s that yellow thing younger Malefactor has in his hand, I wonder?
Thanks! Glad you noticed… I try and pack in as many lil’ jokes as possible.
Correction- I’ve just noticed that they’re FANGED bunny slippers. Now they’re even cooler
Oh my God they ARE fanged bunny slippers.
Yes, they are indeed!
Ouch… Remainds me of a Commando story. Deepfrosen natsis in The Bay of Vyborg. Idiots wake them. One of the first questions: “How is Hitler as a world ruler?”…
There are so many things my past self would be glad to find out- and certain things I’d have to keep from him, for fear he may hurt himself. Or is that “hurt myself”?
Ouch, that’s some burning optimism.. I can’t watch.
(Yes I can)
Won’t he be disappointed when He finds out the sad, sad reality…..Also, If he knew this going to happen, Why didn’t he try to preve- Ah forget it, Time Travel…..
Time Travel always gives you two problems, and those problems are The Grandfather Paradox and The Self-fulling Prophecy. If you do not understand then you need more time to think about it.
The Grandfather Paradox is only possible if you believe it’s possible to change history via time travel. It would not be possible, so the Grandfather Paradox is nothing but a silly sci fi idea.
A time traveller could not kill his grandfather. If his grandfather had been killed, the time traveller would never had been born in the first place. If the time traveller exists, then nobody killed his grandfather.
The Self-Fulfilling Prophesy is a more genuine conundrum. Could you give yourself the idea to time travel by going back in time and telling yourself to do so? I’d say no- nothing can come from nothing, even ideas. But it kind of SEEMS like you could.
I generally support in the “one-timeline” theory, and you either subscribe to 1. time can be changed or 2. time is immutable and time travel only fulfills a paradox. And alternate universes are their own “thing.” OMG, did I just confirm alternate universes in the HERO BUSINESS U? ; )
That is a possibility. And also a possible story Arc, this could get interesting!
Yes, but what about the OTHER Grandfather Paradox? If you go back in time and kill your grandpa, you aren’t born. OK. But – if a guy goes back in time, and meets a sexy hot babe, and the inevitable happens, and 9 months later she has a baby – umm. “I’m my own grandfather” ?
Is he in fact time-traveling using a timecube? Because if so, that is easily the most awesome reference so far in this comic.
