Temp Month continues at The Hero Business, where you’ll be treated to different takes on the Hero Business universe through a series of special creators.
This week, we’re proud to run a funny comic from the creators of the hilarious Hero Happy Hour, by Dan Taylor and Chris Fason. If you’re not familiar with it, do yourself a favor and belly up to the Hideout Bar & Grill… where you can knock back a pint with The Guardian and Night Ranger (insert “Sister Christian” jokes here). I think their approach of “mundane meets meta-human” fits oh-so-snugly into our cast of characters.
I’m thinking we need to order up a second round at some point and do a crossover. Maybe some bar wars with “The Rocks”, the Hero Business’ bar of choice?

Temp Month Entry #1: “Take One Sidekick. Call Me In The Morning”
by Hero Business C.E.O. on September 1st, 2011Maybe you first saw Caanan Grall’s awesome work through his Zuda comic, Celadore. Or you might have stumbled across his whimsically brilliant strip, Max Overacts. Or perhaps you thrilled to his viral internet sensation, Muppet Thor. Or, inexplicably, you haven’t treated yourself to Caanan’s superb style and overwhelming sense of fun.
Today launches our first “Temp Month” at the Hero Business, where you’ll be treated to different takes on the Hero Business universe through a series of special creators. I thought I’d start off the month with one of my favorites. Here, Caanan picks up on a thread from the first page of the first storyline! In doing so, he’s added to our mythos with a Starry Knight character design as well as a new sidekick character.
And, it’s funny as hell.
I love Parker’s attitude in this one, as well as the notion of Malefactor secretly intervening in heroes’ lives. So many jokes packed in one page! Thanks, Caanan! You’re welcome back at the Hero Business any time.
